Camino Workshops

I’ve walked over 7,000km across 15+ Camino routes since 2016. Each Camino Workshop is a donativo session (either live or recdred) focused on just one route – the practical details, what it’s really like to walk, and what it gave me. There’s space for your questions on the live call too, so bring anything you’re not sure about, or feel free to get in touch with questions after if you are watching the recording.

The Camino Francés was my first Camino, back in 2016. Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela, 772.7km, 29 days – and I carried on to Finisterre after, because for me walking the whole way across Spain felt like a cool thing to do. I have since been back on sections of the Francés many times.

I nearly didn’t go on this one. November 2018, my third Camino, and life was full – building my business, 60-hour weeks, a good relationship, busy with recovery. No burning question this time, just a promise I’d made myself: one Camino a year, alone, no matter what.

So I went. Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre, on to Muxía, and back – 222.5km over 8 days, out to the end of the world and back. But what did I find?

November 2019, my fourth Camino. The business was taking off and my relationship was going from strength to strength, despite the miscarriage earlier that year. I thought part of this journey would be processing all of that, the joy and the grief and finding some peace.

So I went. Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela, 125.4km over 7 days – the way medieval pilgrims arrived by sea. There’s a shorter start from A Coruña too, and if you walk part of another official route first, it still counts towards your Compostela. But what did I end up discovering?
